Yogurt and Rice Sauce

Serve it plain with green beans and meat, or cook kibbeh balls in it. Children love this dish!

Procedure

  1. Place rice and water in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring frequently until it boils. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 10 minutes or until rice is tender.
  2. Meanwhile, place yogurt in a medium pot and beat with a wire whisk until it is very smooth. Place over medium heat and stir constantly until it is very hot, about 7 minutes.
  3. Slowly add hot yogurt to the hot rice while stirring, sprinkle with salt and pepper and continue stirring until it boils. Reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes.

Serve it plain with green beans and meat, or cook kibbeh balls in it. Children love this dish!

Tip — It stays fresh for up to a week if kept in the refrigerator.
