Lebanese Cookies

Serve it for dessert, a snack or at breakfast with fruit.

Procedure

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Place confectioner’s sugar and butter in food processor and blend until the mixture is white and fluffy. Add flour and process until it forms a ball. Transfer into a bowl, cover, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Split the dough into 5 equal parts. Dip your fingers in the flour and form each part into the shape of a large hot dog. Place one part on a cookie sheet and slice it into 5 pieces with ¼ of an inch between them.
  4. Finish the remaining parts in the same way. Top each piece with half of a pistachio nut and bake on the middle rack of the oven for 15 minutes. Do not let the cookies brown. Serve when cooled.

Tip — Lebanese Cookies can be kept in a closed container for a couple of weeks.
