Chicken Fillet with Tomato Sauce

Serve it hot with mashed potatoes, salad, pita bread and lemon wedges.

Procedure

  1. Wash and drain chicken pieces, rub salt all over them, and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Pour oil into a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and cook for 2 minutes on each side.
  3. Add garlic and sauté briefly. Sprinkle in flour and stir to absorb oil.
  4. Slowly pour in tomato sauce while stirring to combine with flour. Continue to stir until sauce is smooth in texture.
  5. Turn heat to high and slowly stir in water. Add lemon juice, pepper and salt, stir well to combine, and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low, turn the chicken pieces over, and cook covered 5 more minutes. Remove from heat until ready to serve.

Serve it hot with mashed potatoes, salad, pita bread and lemon wedges.

Tip — To save time, cook the mashed potatoes while you are preparing the chicken.
