Cheese in Olive Oil

Jebneh Makbouseh b’Zeit
جبنه مكبوسه بزيت

Serve it as an appetizer or in a light dinner with fresh pita bread, olives, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, and your favorite salad.

Procedure

  1. Cut cheese into 1-inch thick slices and gently place them in the jar.
  2. Pour oil into the jar to cover the cheese. Close lid tightly, store in the refrigerator and eat cheese the next day.
